Shortly, I will be practicing standing between the wolf and the sheep for a few weeks. This post will be an update of sorts to try to keep this humble little blog at least at trail shaft.
In the homefront, the future Mrs. Snipe and Pocket Monkey will be arriving in time for Christmas at my Dad’s house. Nuptials to follow shortly.
In the chow front, the last bit of my turkey is going to end up as a turkey vegetable soup ala BSA Troop 4.
Take a few cans of soup vegetables(beans, corn, onions, etc) and empty them into a pot. Take a can of chicken stock(boneless turkey this year, so no homemade stock). Mix in a pot and simmer with your preferred spices. In my version it will be a bay leaf or two, minced garlic, black and red pepper, and cilantro. So easy a snipe can do it. As Tanker at http://mostlycajun.com is fond of saying, it ain’t rocket science, adjust spices according to your taste, and you have something good.
In the …”against all enemies foreign and domestic” front, I think this TSA security theater is getting more and more unconstitutional. I will put a couple of videos up in that regard in order to do my small part. If enough people do one percent, pretty soon there is some pretty good numbers.
Now for the Sunday funnies regarding our government getting too big for thier britches. Enjoy.
The guy above is a local hero in this neck of the woods.
That is all for now. When I go on Christmas break, I will probably add some links. Woe betide the wolf, when i stand guard at the door.
